From a Sales and reporting perspective, if it's not in HubSpot, it doesn't exist. So it's important to make HubSpot part of your every day activities and get it to work for you!

Meetings

The primary role of a sales person is to develop strong relationships with and an understanding of their customers and the businesses they work in. To do that, face to face time with customers is absolutely essential. But to maintain and extend healthy working relationships, it's important to always add value to your customers whenever you interact with them.

To ensure you stay on track with your meetings and what you want to achieve with each of your customers, the HubSpot meetings tool is essential.

At Swagelok Bristol you are required to enter your meetings with customers into HubSpot as well as Outlook Calendar. The benefit of doing this in HubSpot is it will help you plan the meeting and you can even send a meeting invite to your customers from their Contact record!

You can also create Meetings from within a Deals record and associate it with the relevant Contact and Company, or if the Meeting is in relation to a Deal, you can also do this within the Contact record and associate it with the relevant Deal.

After you have held the meeting you can add your notes within this Activity. Ensure the Notes you make following the meeting are relevant and meaningful and demonstrate how you have added value to the customer through this meeting.

Remember to mention any relevant internal contacts in your notes by typing "@" followed by the first few letters of the associate's name.

 

Emails

Sending emails to Contacts is easy within HubSpot. Simply navigate to the Contact record, click on the "Email" hot button in the left column, and compose the email.

Tasks

Tasks are a great way to stay organised! By setting yourself or a colleague a task via HubSpot, you can stay on top of customer needs - especially when time is short. Use Tasks as a reminder to ensure you follow up on sales activities for customers. Never forget to send that email or make that phone call to a customer again!

From within the Contact record, click on the "Task" hot button at the top of the left column.
